Scout Construction was established in 1991. It has grown slowly over the last two decades with the notion that it is best to build well, with consideration for quality and longevity. We are of the mind that the old style of apprenticeship and experience over time is a proven concept. My job foreman, Tom Perkins, and I both have over 25 years in residential construction.

None of our employees is put in a position beyond their capability without supervision. There is a direct line from the client and architect, through the contractor, to the foreman and the carpenters and laborers under him. Every member of the Scout Construction crew is aware that he or she is directly responsible to the client and that service is paramount.

We are residential contractors primarily- additions and remodels making up the majority of our work. We are capable of large projects and custom houses from the ground up, but take the bathroom remodel or room addition with the same eye toward quality and customer satisfaction. Our crew has extensive experience with kitchen remodeling as well as foundation replacement and deck building. It is all part of a piece – providing a service in our community to build well and provide sustainability. Some of us were born and raised in Marin and Sonoma, others are from far away. Some of us have families here and some own houses. But we all live here and hope to grow with Petaluma and the greater North Bay.

We are excited about the movement toward green building and are forging relationships with architects and clients with a notion towards reducing our footprint on this planet without compromising the architectural beauty and function of the project. It is a dynamic time to be a builder. Let us show you what we have done and what we can do for you. You will be happy you called us.
